Sacramento County shooting hospitalizes man, sheriff’s office says

(FOX40.COM) — A shooting in Sacramento County put a man, 41, in the hospital, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting took place around 9 p.m. on Wednesday along Elkhorn and Andrea boulevards.

The sheriff’s office said the man told deputies he was walking along the street when “one or possibly two” people approached him and shot him in the back.

Deputies say they found the man on Greenback Lane and Garfield Avenue suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his back.

Sacramento County sheriff’s officials added that they believe the man will survive his injuries.

No information about a suspect has been made clear yet.
