Ryan Seacrest Reacts to 'American Idol's' Possible Return on 'Live'
On Monday’s Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ryan Seacrest addressed the rumors that American Idol will return to TV. The TV phenomenon and host of all fifteen seasons of the singing competition said, “This is news to me,” and said he found out about the rumors like everyone else — by reading the news.
Seacrest recently joined Kelly Ripa as the co-host of Live on ABC. It has been rumored that ABC will be the new home of Idol. Seacrest joked, “I made a phone call, and they said, ‘Yeah, it may actually end up here.’ And I said, ‘That is kind of good to know, since I work here.'”
Ripa, his new co-host and boss, excitedly encouraged him to host both Live and Idol.
Live with Kelly and Ryan airs weekdays on ABC.
