Russia's massive attack targets Ukrainian energy sites, hospital, and infrastructure

Russia launched a massive attack on energy facilities in Ukraine, employing Tu-95MS bombers, MiG-31K fighters, and ships in the Black Sea overnight on April 26-27.
Kharkiv medical complex with over 1000 people present at the time, including 900 patients and 250 staff members, came under Russian attack, reported Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
"Fortunately, the missiles hit the ground and not the medical facility buildings — otherwise, it's hard to imagine the number of casualties," Terekhov said.
"One person is wounded, with minor injuries."
The explosive wave damaged several buildings, electrical lines, and water supply lines.
Thirteen Russian missiles were shot down in Dniprovskyi, Kryvorizkyi, and Pavlohradskyi districts of Kharkiv Oblast. Damage to energy facilities occurred in Dniprovskyi and Kryvorizkyi districts, with a man injured in Kryvorizkyi district and water supply disruptions reported, the Regional State Administration said.
Russians later shelled the territory of a hospital in Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district with S-300 surface-to-air missiles. A patient born in 1970 was injured, and the hospital building, food block, and a building where 60 patients and five staff members were present during the strike were damaged, reported the National Police.
Russian forces launched attacks on four thermal power plants belonging to Ukraine's DTEK overnight, causing injuries and significant damage to the equipment.
The Russian army attacked a critical infrastructure facility in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast overnight, regional governor Svitlana Onyshchuk reported.
Russia attacked Ukraine with 34 missiles, and the air defense forces managed to shoot down 21 of them overnight, reported the Ukrainian Air Force commander, Mykola Oleshchuk.
Russians attacked Lviv Oblast with cruise missiles and aeroballistic missiles Kinzhal, regional governor Maksym Kozytskyi reported. Three missiles were shot down by the Western Air Command fighters, with hits reported — fires started at two critical infrastructure objects in the Stryi and Chervonohrad districts. No casualties have been reported yet.
Russian attack damaged the energy infrastructure object in Zelenodolsk, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, injuring a 39-year-old man. Educational, medical, cultural institutions, and residential buildings were also damaged. Water supply disruptions are reported in the area, said the head of the municipality, Dmytro Neveselyi.
In Dniprovskyi district of the Oblast, Russia struck an infrastructure object, igniting a fire, reported the regional governor, Serhiy Lysak.
Explosions rocked Dnipro, Suspilne public broadcasting reported. The Ukrainian Air Force earlier warned of the threat of ballistic missile deployment from the northwest, as well as the movement of a missile towards Kremenchuk.
