Russia's losses in the war exceed 496,000 in manpower

The Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to annihilate the Russian forces on Ukrainian soil. In just one day, the Russian Federation lost 1,300 soldiers, 41 artillery units, and 22 armoured personnel carriers.

Details: The total combat losses of the Russian forces between 24 February 2022 and 22 May 2024 are estimated to be as follows [figures in parentheses represent the latest losses – ed.]:

  • 496,370 (+1,300) military personnel;

  • 7,611 (+6) tanks;

  • 14,721 (+22) armoured combat vehicles;

  • 12,820 (+41) artillery systems;

  • 1,077 (+0) multiple-launch rocket systems;

  • 812 (+1) air defence systems;

  • 354 (+0) fixed-wing aircraft;

  • 326 (+0) helicopters;

  • 10,346 (+56) strategic and tactical UAVs;

  • 2,208 (+1) cruise missiles;

  • 27 (+0) ships and boats;

  • 1 (+0) submarines;

  • 17,442 (+59) vehicles and tankers;

  • 2,090 (+5) special vehicles and other equipment.
