Russians preparing massive May offensive - Interview

Russian occupiers will launch a new major offensive, said a Ukrainian war veteran and head of the Air Intelligence Support Center, Maria Berlinska, in an interview with Radio NV.
Berlinska reminded that Russia attacks Ukraine daily with tens of thousands of shells, as Ukrainian Defense Forces face shortages.
"We're retreating further as the front shifts; Russians are on the offensive. This marks the start of a major offensive in May, foreshadowing a challenging summer," stated the head of the Air Intelligence Support Center."

The threat of a new Russian offensive — what is known
Earlier, the director of the New Geopolitics Research Network, Mykhailo Samus, said on Radio NV that May will be very difficult for the Armed Forces, "because for the Russians, this is perhaps the last month when they will be able to use the lack of parity in artillery, anti-tank weapons and, importantly, in air defense systems, and perhaps also in aviation."
On April 18, Kyrylo Budanov, head of the GUR at Ukraine's Defense Ministry, stated Russia plans a major offensive in June to seize Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts.

The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) predicted on March 23 that Russian troops will likely continue offensive operations until spring 2024, preparing for a summer offensive.
In an interview with CBS News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russia's potential counteroffensive by late May or early June. He stressed Ukraine's need for partner support to ready brigades against enemy actions.
