Russians keep advancing on three difficult fronts General Staff report

Russian occupiers are focusing their efforts on conducting offensive operations on the Lyman, Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts as of the evening of 4 January.

The enemy is focusing its efforts on conducting offensive actions on the Lyman, Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, as well as trying to improve its tactical position on the Kupiansk front. They are on the defensive on the Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts. They are also carrying out engineering equipment work at the positions and placing mines along the left (east) bank of the Dnipro River."

Details: Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft carried out 17 strikes on clusters of Russian military manpower as well as four attacks on the anti-aircraft missile systems of the invaders.

Units of Ukraine’s Rocket Forces and Artillery struck a command post, two clusters of Russian military manpower and equipment and an ammunition storage point.

The occupiers carried out three missile strikes on civilian facilities in the city of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, and nine airstrikes over the day of 4 January. They also fired 14 times from multiple-launch rocket systems.

The situation remains stable on the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts.

On the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna fronts, the Russians used tanks, mortars and artillery to attack.

On the Kupiansk and Lyman fronts, areas of 15 settlements were attacked with tanks and the entire spectrum of artillery.

On the Bakhmut and Avdiivka fronts, areas of more than 30 vicinities came under fire.

On the Novopavlivka front, Zolota Nyva, Vuhledar, Mykilski Dachi and Prechystivka settlements in Donetsk Oblast were attacked by the occupiers.

On the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson fronts, the invaders fired at the positions of the Ukrainian forces from tanks, mortars, tubed and rocket artillery in areas in and around more than 40 settlements.
