Russians conducted nearly 100 assaults on frontline in one day — General Staff

Russian troops conducted 99 offensive and assault operations across various parts of the frontline, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Facebook on May 25.

Russian forces have concentrated their attacks on the Pokrovsk, Kurakhove, and Kupyansk sectors.

The General Staff reported the following situation at the front:

In Kharkiv sector, Russian forces continue assault operations. Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled six enemy attacks, with four more ongoing.

In Kupyansk sector, invading troops are pressuring Ukrainian defensive lines, unsuccessfully attempting to improve their tactical position near Myasozharivka and Novoyehorivka. They increased assault operations to 14 in this area, with the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelling half and seven ongoing.

In Lyman sector, the enemy conducted five attacks over the last day, with one still ongoing.

In Siverskyi sector, the aggressor continues storming Ukrainian positions near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamyanske. There have been nine engagements since the beginning of the day, with four repelled and five ongoing.

In Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces continue assault operations near Klishchiyivka, Nove, Ivanivske, and Andriyivka. Since the beginning of the day, 11 combat engagements have taken place, with one still ongoing.

The Pokrovsk sector remains the hottest spot along the entire frontline, with 23 enemy attacks. Russian forces are trying to break through Ukrainian defenses with the support of attack aircraft. Ukrainian soldiers are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the enemy, including the destruction of a Russian Su-25.

In Kurakhove sector, combat engagements increased to 14. Ukrainian forces repelled eight enemy attacks, with four ongoing.

In Orikhiv sector, the enemy attempted three assaults near Robotyne and Novoandriyivka, all unsuccessful.

In Prydniprovskyi sector, on the bridgeheads on the east bank of the Dnipro, Russia increased the number of attacks to nine. However, all attempts to push Ukrainian units in the Krynky area were in vain.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continue to attack Ukrainian positions along almost the entire front line and target civilian objects in Ukrainian settlements.
