Russians attack near Vovchansk on Kharkiv front – Ukrainian General Staff

The Russians are currently attacking on the Kharkiv front near Vovchansk, with almost 40 combat clashes having taken place on the frontline since the beginning of the day on 11 June.

Quote: "On the Kharkiv front, a Russian attack towards Vovchansk is currently underway. The situation is under control.

Over the past day, the invaders lost 79 soldiers, 26 of them killed, on the Kharkiv front. A tank, 3 armoured combat vehicles, 9 vehicles and 6 units of special equipment were destroyed. Two tanks, one armoured personnel carrier and three artillery systems were damaged. Twenty-two enemy personnel dugouts and one ammunition storage point were destroyed."

Details: Since the beginning of the day on 11 June, 37 combat clashes have already taken place along the entire front line. The Russians carried out two missile attacks using two missiles and four airstrikes with ten guided bombs, used 40 kamikaze drones and fired about 500 times on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.

In particular, on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders are repelling two attacks by Russian troops near Berestove.

On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defenders repelled eight Russian attempts to improve their tactical position. The Russians are concentrating their efforts near Terny. One attack was repelled there, and three combat clashes are ongoing. Fighting is also continuing near Druzheliubivka, Nevske and Hryhorivka.

On the Siversk front, four Russians attempts to advance near Verkhnokamianske and Vyimka were successfully repelled. One combat engagement is still ongoing near the latter settlement.

On the Kramatorsk front, three Russian assaults have taken place since the beginning of the day. One of them, near Chasiv Yar, was repelled. Fighting is continuing near Klishchiivka and Andriivka.

On the Pokrovsk front, Ukrainian defenders are taking measures to prevent the advance of Russian troops deep into Ukrainian territory. The Russians are continuing their attempts to break through near Novooleksandrivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha and Yasnobrodivka. At the moment, there are seven combat clashes.

Updated information indicates that on the Pokrovsk front, the Russians lost 259 soldiers killed and wounded, a tank, two armoured combat vehicles, six vehicles and one Su-25 aircraft yesterday. Two Russian tanks and four armoured combat vehicles were damaged.

On the Kurakhove front, the Russians launched assaults twice. The attack was successfully repelled near Paraskoviivka. The battle continues near Krasnohorivka. On 10 June, the Russians lost 76 people killed and wounded and lost four tanks, four armoured personnel carriers and four vehicles.

On the Huliaipole front, the Russians became more active near Charivne, with three combat clashes taking place.

On the Orikhiv front, the Russians made four attempts to improve the tactical situation near Mala Tokmachka and Shcherbaky.

In total, the Russians carried out 62 airstrikes (including using 95 guided bombs) on Ukrainian positions and populated areas over the last day, firing over 4,000 times, 149 of them from multiple-launch rocket systems.

Ukraine's Air Force and Rocket Forces and Artillery struck 13 areas where Russian personnel and military equipment were concentrated, seven air defence systems, two missile units and artillery systems, and a Russian radar station.
