Up to 600 Russian soldiers are advancing toward Luhansk Oblast disguised as civilians, Nazar Voloshyn, a spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic troop grouping, said on national television on May 21.
"In one sector, the enemy is using civilian vehicles to traverse from [Russia's] Tula Oblast to Luhansk Oblast," he said.
Their objective is to mobilize and consolidate reserves for potential further assault operations in both Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, Voloshyn said.
