A Russian strike on a coal mining facility in Donetsk Oblast wounded six miners, the Energy Ministry reported on Facebook on May 16.

The shelling damaged the administrative and amenity complex of the facility. The wounded miners are receiving necessary medical assistance, and authorities are assessing the full impact of the attack.

The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that on the same day, Russian forces also struck Mykhailivka in the Pokrovsk district using Smerch multiple rocket launchers. This attack targeted a local enterprise and damaged its administrative building, injuring three women and two men.
