The Ukrainian Navy has found and defused a Russian naval mine in Odesa Oblast.

Details: A naval mine that drifted ashore was found in Odesa Oblast on 7 May.

It was defused through controlled detonation in compliance with safety precautions.

The Ukrainian Navy has defused dozens of naval mines that were found underwater, drifting in the sea, or washed up ashore since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022.

Quote: "We remind you that under any circumstances you should not approach, touch, or try to move or defuse suspicious objects or explosive devices you might come across.

In case you find such objects, report this to relevant services. We would also like to inform you that the ban on visiting uninspected parts of the coast remains in place."
