Russian ‘Republican Army’ claims responsibility for St. Petersburg bombing

“We organized and carried out an action on April 2, 2023, against a group of Z-activists and personally against the well-known warmonger and war propagandist, war criminal Maxim Fomin, known as Vladlen Tatarsky,” NRA said in the message.
“This act was prepared and carried out by us autonomously, and we have no connection with and haven’t received assistance from any foreign structures – let alone special services”.
The NRA also stated that their action wasn’t aimed at "peaceful civilians", and that all the victims in the attack were supporters of Russia’s war against Ukraine. The organization called on Russian human rights activists to help Daria Trepova, whom authorities suspect of carrying out the attack. They also called on the Russians to carry out acts of resistance against the Kremlin regime on all levels, "up to its complete destruction."
Previously, the same organization claimed responsibility for the murder of daughter of Putin's propagandist and ideologue Alexander Dugin, Darya, on August 20, 2022.

Russian opposition politician Ilya Ponomarev claims the NRA is a legitimate underground "activist network" in Russia.
On April 2, propagandist Vladlen Tatarskyi died in an explosion in St. Petersburg.
The explosion took place in a cafe associated with the owner of Wagner Group PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin. The bomb was allegedly hidden in a statue and was brought to the meeting by Darya Trepova. She was detained on April 3.
Moscow accused Ukraine of orchestrating the assassination, allegedly acting through an associate of Alexey Navalny.

Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin) is a Russian propagandist, "military correspondent," known for his anti-Ukrainian statements, originally from Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast.
He welcomed and supported Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and also stated that Russia "will defeat everyone, kill everyone, rob everyone it needs to."

In 2011, he was in a Horlivka prison for bank robbery, but after the initial Russian invasion in 2014, he escaped and joined Russian paramilitary forces.
