Russian military plane emergency lands in Voronezh, no casualties reported
An-12 military transport aircraft made an emergency landing in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast, with no reported casualties, Russian Telegram channel Astra claimed on March 14.
It is said that the plane had a problem with the landing gear.
This is not the first aviation accident in Russia this week. On March 12, an IL-76 military transport plane crashed in Ivanovo, Russia.
Russian Telegram channels reported that the plane crashed during a landing approach. According to preliminary data, it crashed in a cemetery near the village of Bogorodskoye, not far from the airfield.
The IL-76 was conducting a training flight, taking off from the Severny airfield and staying in the air for several minutes. During a turn, the plane’s engine caught fire.
There were 16 Russians on board. None of them survived.
