Russian forces unleash nearly 500 chemical munitions on Ukrainian soldiers — report
Russian forces deployed 444 munitions containing hazardous chemical substances against Ukrainian fighters throughout April, marking an increase of 71 cases compared to the previous month, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Telegram on May 3.

Unmanned aerial vehicles, primarily equipped with the K-51 release system, are the most common method used for delivering chemical weapons, the statement said.
Between February 2023 and April 2024, there have been 1891 documented instances of Russians deploying munitions equipped with hazardous chemical substances.
Russia continues to use munitions with hazardous chemical substances, violating the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling, and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction, as well as the laws and customs of warfare, the General Staff said.
