Russian bombs hit Kharkiv residential area

A house in Kharkiv Oblast was struck by Russian forces, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported via Telegram on May 1. The attack is currently under investigation, with officials assessing the extent of the damage.
"During a thorough examination of the impact site, damage to ten households was uncovered," Terekhov said.
Regional governor, Oleh Synehubov, confirmed hits in Kharkiv's Kyivskyi district. While civil infrastructure sustained damage, no casualties were reported.

Earlier, Ukraine's public broadcaster Suspilne reported hearing an explosion in Kharkiv.
Ukrainian Air Force previously issued warnings about potential launches of guided air bombs by tactical aircraft in Kharkiv Oblast.
Russia struck Kharkiv with guided aviation bombs, hitting the city's Kyivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts on April 30. Reportedly, one person was killed and nine people were injured.

Lately, Russia has intensified its attacks on Kharkiv and the Oblast. Russian forces carried out missile strikes on Kharkiv's Saltivskyi district overnight on April 27. The attack aimed at the city's regional psychiatric hospital and a medical complex.
"Families with children are being evacuated from 47 frontline settlements in Kharkiv Oblast," said Synehubov.
"Russia now targets populated areas not previously attacked a month ago."
"The Russians have changed tactics and are now launching "double-tap" strikes on the same location, targeting Ukrainian emergency services," he said.
