Russian attack on Dnipro kills at least two - officials

STORY: The attack damaged a residential building and critical infrastructure, Viacheslav Mamonov, head of Dnipro district military administration, said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said the attack damaged multiple stories of a residential building and a train station in the regional capital, Dnipro, as he called for additional air defenses.

Russia has stepped up its long-range aerial assaults on Ukraine's energy system and other targets in recent weeks, ratcheting up the pressure on Kyiv far behind the front lines where Russian forces have been slowly advancing in the east.
