Russian attack on Bilozerka: 1 killed, 4 wounded, critical infrastructure facility destroyed

The Russian army launched a massive artillery attack on Bilozerka in Kherson Oblast, killing one person and injuring four others, the head of the Kherson Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin reported on Nov. 16.

The wounded included three women, aged 28, 56 and 34, and a 62-year-old man. All the victims were taken to the hospital.

The attack destroyed a critical infrastructure facility, leaving Bilozerka and the surrounding villages without electricity, the governor said.

Power engineers will begin restoration work as soon as the security situation allows to restore electricity to residents' homes as soon as possible.

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported that the deceased was a man; his body was removed from the rubble of a private house by rescuers.

The Russian attack damaged residential buildings, vehicles, an administrative building, and a grocery store.

Under the procedural supervision of the Oleshky District Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was initiated into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Russian invasion forces are systematically shelling Kherson and the region. On Nov. 15, the Russians fired 94 times at Kherson Oblast, launching 531 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad, tanks, multiple rocket launchers, S-60, UAVs, and aircraft.

The Russian army also fired 45 shells at the city of Kherson.
