Russia targets high-density residential area in Kharkiv, injuring four

Four people were injured after Russia attacked Kharkiv's Kyiv district, an area known for its many high-rise apartment buildings, overnight on May 14, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported on Telegram.

"There was an impact in the Kyiv district of the city, where there are many high-rise buildings," he said.

Four people were injured in the attack, the Regional Military Administration confirmed.

A 52-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were injured. They experienced acute stress reactions and received assistance at the scene.

Russian forces hit the area at 6:30 a.m., Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head, Oleh Synehubov, said.

The attack destroyed three garages and damaged three others.

Another strike was reported in an open area.

Authorities are still assessing the extent of the damage.
