Russia has managed to quickly repair several key oil refineries that were damaged by Ukrainian drones, with capacity reductions now at approximately 10% compared to nearly 14% at the end of March, Reuters reported on April 15.

The Ryazan refinery owned by the oil and gas company Rosneft has resumed operations at its primary oil processing units CDU-4 and the main unit CDU-6. The Kuibyshev refinery in Syzran is similarly repairing its CDU-4, CDU-5, and CDU-6 units.

According to the report, as a result of the drone attacks, Russia’s total crude oil processing capacity decreased from about 907,000 barrels per day to 660,000 barrels per day.

However, the overall refining capacity in Russia that was not operational due to repairs and other shutdowns is expected to be 4.4 million tons in April, compared to 4.1 million tons in March.
