Moscow plans to influence and interfere with the upcoming European Parliament elections, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said on May 14.

“We discussed during the European Council meeting that Russia is preparing various types of interference in the election process ahead of the European Parliament elections,” Polskie Radio quotes Tusk.

The PM added that this will not be the first time Moscow meddles in the EU’s democratic processes. According to Tusk, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland are most at risk of being targeted by Russian influence operations.

The European Parliament elections will be held across the EU from June 6 to 9, 2024.
