Russia hits industrial facility in Kryvyi Rih with Shahed drones

Russia launched a drone attack on Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, overnight, targeting an industrial enterprise, the head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, reported on Telegram on March 9.

The impact caused a fire, which was later extinguished, but the cleanup is still being conducted, he said. No casualties reported.

Ukrainian air defense forces successfully shot down five attack drones heading towards Kryvyi Rih, with no other incidents reported in the area.

Russians attacked the Marhanets municipality in the Nikopol district with artillery. No fatalities were reported.

Air raid alerts were issued in several Ukrainian central, eastern, and southern oblasts due to the Russian ballistic missile threat on March 8. Multiple groups of drones were reported in Kherson Oblast.

Russian forces struck the city of Kherson, injuring a seven-year-old boy who has been hospitalized.
