"The threat of missile and air strikes on the objects of Ukraine from the territory of the Republic of Belarus is growing," the General Staff said.

"The aggressor moved a division of 9K720 Iskander-M (SS-26 Stone, by NATO designation) to the Brest region at a distance of up to 50 kilometers from the state border of Ukraine."

The Iskander-M has a range of 400-500 kilometers, putting much of western and central Ukraine at threat of the new deployment in Belarus.

At the same time, in the Volyn and Polissya areas, certain units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus are continuing to patrol the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.
