Russia carries out missile attack on Chernivtsi Oblast

The Russian military attacked Chernivtsi Oblast with missiles overnight on March 29, Chernivtsi Regional Military Administration head, Ruslan Zaparanyuk reported on Telegram.

Chernivtsi Oblast is not usually targeted by Russian missiles.

Air Defense forces shot down enemy missiles over the oblast during an air raid alarm, he said.

Emergency services are at the scene where the debris fell.

Preliminary data indicates there are no casualties.

An air alert was announced throughout most of Ukraine on March 29 due to another mass Russian missile and drone attack. Explosions could be heard in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv oblasts, as well as Dnipro city.
