Russia calls for UN Security Council meeting due to alleged ‘Kyiv strikes on Zaporizhzhya nuclear plant’

The Kremlin wants to call IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi before the council as a rapporteur.
This comes after on August 5, the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant had to disconnect one of its three operating reactors from the grid due to damage to a high-voltage line following shelling.

Three reactors at the nuclear power plant started operating on July 14. Before that, from the moment it was captured by Russian invasion forces on March 4, two reactors out of six were in operation.
