Russian dictator Vladimir Putin signed a decree on March 31 initiating a sprint draft from April 1 to July 15, aiming to mobilize 150,000 soldiers into the army.

Document states that Russian citizens aged 18 to 30 are subject to conscription.

According to the Russian Telegram channel ChetD, this year's conscription will be the largest since 2016, when 155.000 people were drafted into the Russian army. Since then, the size of the draft has only been decreasing.

During last year's autumn conscription, 130.000 Russian citizens were drafted into the Russian army.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, during the so-called "direct line" (a staged TV show where "people" can ask the "president" questions) on Dec. 14 said that there would be no second wave of mobilization in Russia, as there was no need for it.
