"There are several villages on the border from which the ruscist authorities have actually fled, in principle, there is no government there now," Yusov said.

“If we talk about the activities of the resistance movement and Russian representatives of the rebel volunteers, they are now active, including in Moscow Oblast.”

Ukrainian intelligence and the whole world have become convinced that the Kremlin regime is exhausted and cannot organize the defense of its own borders.

"The uprising is only gaining momentum," Yusov stated. “We will see the confrontation with regular troops later.”

The Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) and the Freedom of Russia Legion earlier reported that during the raid they went 42 km deep into Russia and controlled some settlements in Belgorod Oblast for a day. According to them, they lost two people in action, 10 more were wounded, and they allegedly destroyed several dozen Russian security forces officers and about 10 armored vehicles, as well as took trophies.

RDK fighters announced on May 25 that they had re-entered Russian territory.

The Freedom of Russia Legion announced on May 22 that, together with the Russian Volunteer Corps, it had "completely liberated" the village of Kozinka in Russia’s Belgorod Oblast, passed the village of Gora-Podol, and entered the village of Grayvoron and began storming it.

Local authorities declared a "counterterrorist operation" and, according to the governor, most residents of the Grayvoron district were evacuated.

The Russians claimed to have killed most of the saboteurs and "pushed the rest back" to Ukrainian territory. RDK and Legion fighters denied the losses.

Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate called the actions of the Legion and the RDK in Russia's Belgorod Oblast "the creation of a security strip" to protect Ukrainians.

The raid in Russia’s Belgorod region was carried out exclusively by Legion and RDK fighters, who are Russian citizens, Yusov clarified.

Ukraine had nothing to do with the actions of the RDK and Legion in Belgorod Oblast, confirmed Presidential Office advisor Mykhailo Podolyak.
