Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson became the first NFL player featured in the MAKERS’ MAKERS Men video series, a project dedicated to profiling people who advance the cause of empowering women.

In the video, Wilson spoke about his personal response to the issue of domestic violence, opened the curtain a bit on his family life with his wife Ciara, and gave the inspiration behind his clothing line “The Good Man Brand.”

“We want to be able to seep into the social consciousness,” Wilson said of his side business. “To express the idea of being a good man, changing the perspective a little bit of trying to be the tough guy. That’s the challenge for us men today.”
