The Rush: Aaron Rodgers is the best employee in the NFL

It’s October 16th, which means it’s National Boss’s Day here in America. It’s a day to celebrate those people in our life who help us pay our bills during the week and make us grateful to be away from them on the weekends. Unless, of course, you’re Aaron Rodgers. In which case you’re surrounded by 80,000 of your bosses on Sundays. Fortunately for all of his supervisors, Rodgers is the employee of the month every month. And last night was no different. He led the Packers to a 33-30 comeback victory in Lambeau field, and into first place in the NFC north.

National Boss’s Day is also a time to recognize boss moves in the rest of us. Dodgers outfielder Joc Pederson and his wife welcomed a baby girl named Poppy on Sunday night. And barely 24 hours later, Joc was leading off for the Dodgers in Game 3 of the NLCS at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles was shut out by the Brewers 4-0, but rest assured, Joc won’t lose any sleep over it. He has a newborn so there’s no sleep for him to lose in the first place.

Finally, watch the video above to see Rush host Jared Quay welcome his boss and New York Giants superfan Ryan Dornbusch into the studio. With talk that the New York Giants might try to trade embattled QB Eli Manning to Jared’s beloved Jaguars, Jared has a firm yet loving message for his boss concerning the potential blockbuster: thanks, but no thanks.
