- Leaders La Rochelle edged closer to the Top 14 semi-finals after a 16-5 win at home against Bordeaux-Bègles extended their unbeaten run to a record-equalling 11 games. Victory was even sweeter as it was against a team who inflicted La Rochelle's last defeat -- a 26-0 rout in November -- and sees the westerners match a record last achieved by Toulouse in 2012. La Rochelle led 7-5 at the break after a 29th minute try from Fijian back Kini Murimurivalu, converted by Australian fly-half Brock James. New Zealand centre Jayden Spence touched down for Bordeaux, but the hosts pulled ahead after the break with James kicking three penalties. La Rochelle have 79 points from 23 games and are already assured of a play-off spot, and could receive a semi-final ticket later Saturday if Montpellier fail to beat Grenoble at home.
