Ruby Tuesday appoints Todd Burrowes as company COO and president for its namesake chain

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Casual dining chain Ruby Tuesday Inc. said it named Todd Burrowes as chief operations officer for the company, and president of its namesake chain.

Burrowes, 50, has more than 25 years of industry experience. He spent the past five years as Darden Restaurants Inc.'s executive vice president of operations for LongHorn Steakhouse.

Before joining LongHorn, Burrowes served as an executive at Corner Bakery Café and Saltgrass Steak House.

The appointment is the latest in a series of management changes for the casual restaurant chain. It named Jeffrey Wood as chief development officer last month, Jill Golder as senior vice president of finance in April and Mark Bibby as executive chef in March.

Ruby Tuesday burger-and steak restaurants operate in 45 states, the District of Columbia, 11 countries and Guam. The company also owns the Lime Fresh Mexican Grill chain, which it acquired last year.

Ruby Tuesday shares fell 11 cents to $9.50 in morning trading. That's near the high end of its 52-week trading range of $4.98 to $9.84.
