Ruby Rose’s giant back tattoo is basically the mother of all tattoos

Ruby Rose has a thing for tattoos; we have a thing for her. The Australian model, DJ, and OITNB actress has countless artworks on her body – in an interview with Inked Magazine in 2010, she said she’d lost count, but she guessed somewhere in the 30’s. Then, in 2015, she told Conan that the number had soared closer to 60.

Yesterday, she posted a pic on Instagram of her most recent tat – a periodic-style table of all the colors available in tattoos. She now has every single tattoo color one can have on their body.

She’s using her back to chart the possibilities of body ink. We’ve never seen anyone cooler.

Among her plethora of inked art is a Basquiat crown on her stomach, a portrait of Basquiat himself on her left arm, the word “meow” on her inner lip, boxing gloves in honor of her godfather on her right shoulder, and the words “and breathe me,” – lyrics from her close friend Sia’s song, “Breathe Me.”

But this latest addition might just be our favorite. Because, see, it’s useful – we’re getting a poster-sized print made right now for our wall. We’ll have to reference it whenever we’re planning our own tats.
