Roy Moore's horse, Sassy, wins the internet on Alabama senate race Election Day

The Alabama senate election yesterday had the entire country on their edge of their seats. Democrat Doug Jones was up against Republican Roy Moore, who caused controversy during the race after several women accused the judge of sexual misconduct. For the first time in 25 years, the Democratic candidate took the seat, sending shockwaves through the nation.

Despite all the drama surrounding the election, the internet latched onto Moore’s horse, Sassy. The Republican candidate rode the brown and white steed to the polls Tuesday morning. Immediately, “Sassy The Horse” Twitter accounts were created, and people used the horse to taunt Moore.

Ouch!

In lighter trending news, fans had strong reactions to the announcement of 2018’s new inductees into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Artists become eligible for induction 25 years after the release of their debut album, and each year the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation’s nominating committee selects the nominees. Since 2012, fans have also been given the opportunity to submit ballots for who they’d like to see inducted.

This go-round, Jon Bon Jovi received the most votes. He will be inducted in a ceremony to be held at Cleveland’s Public Hall on April 14, 2018. Also being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be Dire Straights, the Moody Blues, the Cars, and Nina Simone. Sister Rosetta Tharpe will be awarded the Early Influencer accolade.

Bon Jovi reacted to the honor by releasing a thank-you video on Twitter, and fans rejoiced about their favorite artists being chosen.

The SAG Award nominations also were announced today, and while there was celebration by fans of the frontrunners — Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and Big Little Lies — there was outrage from fans of the films and TV shows that were snubbed. Admirers of Wonder Woman were especially upset.

Well, we can’t all be winners — just ask Roy Moore.
