MMA fighter Ronda Rousey and Super Bowl champ DeMarcus Ware inspired many by reaching the peak of their respective sports. Now, they are continuing to motivate as coaches on the television re-boot of “Battle of the Network Stars.”
The two legends sat down with Yahoo Sports to opine on many topics, including the street cred earned by a Super Bowl ring vs. that of an Olympic medal, which Rousey won in the 2008 Beijing Games.
“I can tell you that an Olympic medal gets you jack s**t,” Rousey said playfully. “It only gets you a free drink for about a month.” Ware, meanwhile, won a championship with the Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
Ware and Rousey will now captain teams of celebrities on the re-make of a TV classic, using their athletic expertise to guide their squads through events like tug-of-war and the obstacle course.
