Roundup: Christmas parades planned in Aiken, Edgefield counties

Nov. 7—'Tis the season for caroling and parade floats spreading holiday cheer.

The month of December is chock full of Christmas parades planned around Aiken and Edgefield counties.

The Wagener Christmas Parade will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, along Main Street in Wagener.

The New Ellenton Christmas Parade will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 4, along Main Street in New Ellenton.

The GVW Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, along Canal Street in Graniteville.

The Jackson Christmas Parade will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, along Highway 125 in Jackson.

The North Augusta Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, along Georgia Avenue in North Augusta.

The Windsor Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, along Cedar Road in Windsor.

The Edgefield Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 5, in downtown Edgefield.

The Midland Valley Christmas Parade will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, along Augusta Road in Burnettown.

The Aiken Jaycees Christmas Parade will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, along Park Avenue and Laurens Street in Aiken.

The Hoofbeats and Christmas Carols Parade will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, along Laurens Street in Aiken.

To kick off the holiday season, community tree lightings will be held in Edgefield at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, on the square; North Augusta at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Calhoun Park; and in Aiken at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, on Newberry Street.
