Roswell teen found guilty in 2022 double murder

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – A Roswell teen was found guilty of a shooting that killed two people in 2022. Jayvin Montoya, who was 15 at the time, shot and killed 15-year-old Cameron Luna and 16-year-old Jorge Armendariz at Cahoon Park in Roswell nearly two years ago.

Police say Montoya and another person also robbed the victims. Montoya was found guilty of murder and armed robbery among other charges. His sentencing date is scheduled for next month.
