Water main rain causing disruption of service to North Hills homes

Traffic is down to one lane on a North Hills road after a water main break.

Thompson Run Road between Pin Oak Drive and Hazlett Road near the Ross Township/McCandless border was closed due to a break in the 700 block of Thompson Run Road.

West View Water Authority told Channel 11 the leak was under control by about 5 a.m.

About 20 homes are without water.

Repair efforts are expected to continue into the afternoon.
