Rosetta Stone names James Bankoff to board

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Foreign language education company Rosetta Stone Inc. said Wednesday that it named James Bankoff to its board.

Bankoff is chairman and CEO of Vox Media Inc., a collection of sports, technology and game-related websites. His election expands Rosetta Stone's board to 11 members, including nine independent directors.

Before joining Vox Media in 2009, Bankoff served as a senior adviser with Providence Equity Partners, a private equity firm focused on media and telecommunications.

Rosetta Stone shares fell 3 cents to $12.98 in morning trading.
