Rolling veterans tribute stops at Lebanon VA

SOUTH LEBANON TWP., Pa. (WHTM) – A unique tribute to veterans made a stop at the Lebanon VA Medical Center Friday.

Robert Villeaume, of Lancaster County, has spent three years customizing a Ford Mustang, calling it his “Military Tribute Mustang GT California Special.”

The car is a tribute to both his daughter and his father, and he has been up and down the East Coast, making stops, meeting veterans, and inviting them to sign his car. Why?

“You know, it’s their story, and I’m trying to honor their story,” Villeaume said. “So each signature that’s on this car has its own story. Why should it be forgotten?”

He says he’s working on a book about those signatories.

If you want to check out the car, it’ll be at the upcoming Ford Nationals car show in Carlisle.
