Roll on, young man: JuJu Smith-Schuster's bike has been found
We know you stayed up all night wondering, and we’re here to set your mind at ease: JuJu Smith-Schuster’s bike has been found!
The Pittsburgh Steelers rookie had his bike stolen on Tuesday, and was understandably upset about it: not only is it terrible to realize you’ve been stolen from, the bike is Smith-Schuster’s only mode of transportation.
He doesn’t have a car, and doesn’t even have a driver’s license, using the bike to get all over the city of Pittsburgh.
Television station KDKA is reporting that Smith-Schuster’s black GHOST brand bike was given to police in the borough of Mount Oliver on Tuesday.
According to KDKA, a man contacted the station late Tuesday night to say that he had purchased the bike on the street earlier in the day for $200. The Mount Oliver Police chief said the man saw the story of the bike theft on the news, and knew who it belonged to when he saw it. He wanted to turn it over to police.
It’s expected that Smith-Schuster will be reunited with his bike on Wednesday afternoon.
It’s unclear at the moment whether the man who turned the bike in to police will collect the game tickets offered by Steelers star Antonio Brown as a reward.
Twitter detectives had a theory that disgruntled receiver Martavis Bryant was the culprit in the bike theft, so if we find out down the road that the man bought the bike from someone named Bartavis Myrant, well, let’s just say none of us should be surprised.
