Rodeo, Tejano Day tickets go on sale Monday

SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Tickets for the San Angelo Rodeo and the new Tejano Day Mexican Rodeo go on sale Monday. Here’s what you need to know.

Rodeo

Rodeo tickets are slated to go on sale on Monday, March 11, at 10 a.m., according to the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association. They can be purchased online or at the Foster Communications Coliseum Box Office.

The tickets have been highly sought after in the past, with one Rodeo Association employee reporting that approximately 68,000 people were on the association’s website at 10 a.m. to buy tickets. Roughly 100 people were stated to be in the coliseum’s parking lot at 5 a.m., lining up to secure their seats for the rodeo.

LAST YEAR: Over 68,000 fans online to purchase rodeo tickets, some still available

This year’s batch of tickets may see a similar buyer turnout, with attractions such as the Buffalo Social Club, Mutton Bustin’, the brand-new Chute Club and the carnival lassoing in rodeo-goers from all across the United States.

Tejano Day

The Tejano Day Mexican Rodeo is the newest addition to San Angelo’s rodeo season and is produced by Gerardo “Jerry” Diaz and his family. Scheduled for 2 p.m. on April 21, the rodeo will feature performances from Mariachi Los Galleros and singer LLUVIA VEGA. Afterward, the Grupa Proyecto musical group will perform in the Buffalo Social Club.

According to the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association’s ticket webpage, the rodeo will also include free gate admission to the fairgrounds.

Tickets for the Tejano Day Mexican Rodeo are sold separately from season ticket packages, but they can still be purchased on the rodeo’s ticket webpage or at the Foster Communications Coliseum Box Office.
