Rockford man killed in Loves Park crash identified by coroner's office

A 63-year-old man who died from injuries in a two-vehicle crash Monday in Loves Park has been identified by the Winnebago County Coroner's Office.

The coroner's office identified the man as Mark McLamarrah, of Rockford.

Authorities said McLamarrah's vehicle was rear-ended Monday afternoon at the intersection of Forest Hills and Landstrom roads in Loves Park.

McLamarrah, who was the only person in the vehicle when hit, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The coroner's office said McLamarrah died from blunt force trauma of the chest.

No charges have been filed and the crash is still being investigated by the Loves Park Police Department.
