Rock ‘n’ roll legend Eric Clapton to perform in San Diego

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Rock ‘n’ roll legend Eric Clapton is making a stop in San Diego as part of his 2024 world tour.

On Monday, Clapton announced Pechanga Arena as the venue for one of his California concerts in October. His show will be on Oct. 8 in San Diego.

Clapton, a former member of The Yardbirds and Cream, branched out as a solo artist. He created classic songs like “Layla,” “Crossroads” and “Wonderful Tonight.”

His other two California shows will take place in Palm Desert on Oct. 10 and Los Angeles on Oct. 12.

American blues rock guitarist and singer Jimmie Vaughan will serve as Clapton’s special guest at the concerts.

Tickets to see Clapton in concert go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10 a.m.
