Rochester city parking ramps set for rotating weekend closures for cleaning

May 2—ROCHESTER — Spring cleaning is planned for Rochester's public parking ramps.

Each spring, the Rochester Transit and Parking Department coordinates efforts to powerwash and make minor repairs, such as painting, in the city-owned parking structures.

Work typically requires two-day closures. The schedule for the cleanings is:

* May 10 to May 12 for the Center Street Ramp, 11 W. Center St.

* May 17 to May 19 for the Second Street Ramp, 14 Second St. SE.

* May 24 to May 26 for the First Street Ramp, 13 Second St. SE.

* May 31 to June 2 for the Third Street Ramp, 100 Third St. SW.

* June 7 to June 9 for Ramp 6, 59 First St. SE.

In all cases, the ramp entrance will stop allowing cards to enter at 2 p.m. on Friday, and all cars must be out by 6 p.m. on Friday or they will be towed.

Cleaning, washing and repairs will continue through Sunday, with the ramp reopening by 5 a.m. on Monday.
