She received a warm welcome from the Chairman of the Ukrainian Parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk, at the Kyiv railway station.
The European Parliament leads in supporting Ukraine and was the initial EU body to push for granting Ukraine candidate status for EU membership, according to Stefanchuk.
"The European Parliament has consistently played a significant role in forming international coalitions to support our pursuit of freedom and European values. This includes providing military aid to Ukraine and intensifying sanctions against Russia," he said.
"Ukraine will always appreciate this."
Metsola previously visited Kyiv in March 2023.
