Robert Downey Jr. Is No Longer the Highest Paid Actor in the World

From Esquire

While fame is a subjective scale of a celebrity's worth, money doesn't lie. How much an actor gets paid is the only quantitative way to judge an actor's place in the global entertainment industry. Sure, talent should matter, but even award statues are subjective-Leonardo DiCaprio will be the first to tell you that. So, we're left with money.

Money, when it comes down to it, is the only thing that matters. And thankfully, actors have plenty of money-far more than you and I could ever imagine.

So, we rank them. Every single year, Forbes lists the actors who made the most millions of dollars in descending order. This year professional Baller Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson made the most millions of dollars, $64 million to be exact. Last year, robotman Robert Downey Jr. made the most millions of dollars, but this year made a measly $31.5 million and dropped to number eight on the list. This is sad for no one except for RDJ, who also probably doesn't care that much.

Meanwhile, Jackie Chan made $61 million this year, thanks to his many blockbusters in China. Vin Diesel, a fellow bald muscular man who is not bald enough or muscular enough to beat Johnson in a physical fight, is also not bald enough or muscular enough to make more money than his Fast Five co-star. Diesel made a pathetic $46 million this year.

Sure, when you get to a certain point, these numbers are meaningless-what's the difference between $64 million and $55 million when you're Matt "Fucking" Damon? Absolutely nothing!
