'SNL' gets crack at Toronto Mayor Rob Ford

Earlier this month when embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford publicly admitted smoking crack cocaine in a "drunken stupor," he became instant fodder for joke writers on late-night television. And on Saturday, the writers of "Saturday Night Live" finally got their crack at him.

Ford, portrayed by Bobby Moynihan (himself channeling the late Chris Farley), was interviewed by a CBC host (played by Taran Killam) during the show's cold-opening sketch.

After showing footage of the unraveling mayor's recent press conferences, Ford lamented that he needed to go on a TV show that would believe him.

That show: "60 Minutes," which, like Ford, was forced to apologize for mistakes last week.

"Mayor Rob Ford," Lara Logan (Kate McKinnon) introduced to viewers. "Patriot, hero, role model."
