Roanoke man faces several charges after high-speed chase across Franklin County
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A man from Roanoke is facing several charges from two counties after leading Franklin County deputies on a high-speed chase on April 10.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, just before 7 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Tahoe after discovering the license plate did not match the vehicle on file. The driver, later identified as 40-year-old Travis Devon Pryor, allegedly failed to stop and continued at a high rate of speed.
Authorities said the chase continued through Franklin County and into Roanoke County. However, deputies terminated the chase due to heavy traffic.

As several law enforcement officers investigated the area, deputies spotted the same Tahoe in the back of a parking lot of a business in Roanoke County. The Sheriff’s Office said Pyror entered the establishment where he was arrested.
He was charged with the following in Franklin County:
Felony Eluding
Reckless Driving
Driving while License Revoked
Altered/Forged License Plates
In Roanoke County, he was charged with:
Resisting Arrest
Intentional Damage of Property over $1000
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Pryor also had an outstanding warrant for Failure to appear.
He is currently being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail.
