Roads blocked in Khartoum after attempted coup

On Monday, soldiers arrested most of the members of Sudan's cabinet and a large number of pro-government party leaders, according to three political sources.
Local media reported that a prominent pro-democracy group called on Sudanese people to take to the streets to resist any military coup, as internet services were interrupted in Khartoum.
Sudan has been on edge since a failed coup plot last month unleashed bitter fallout between the military and civilian groups that were supposed to share power.
A political transition was agreed in 2019 after former leader Omar al-Bashir was ousted following months of protests.
