Road paving on S. Burhans Blvd. to start April 8

Weather permitting, on Monday, April 8, work crews from Craig Paving Inc. will begin milling and paving South Burhans Boulevard between Elgin Boulevard and Wesel Boulevard. This will be a multi-day operation.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes that avoid the work area.

While the contractor will attempt to keep a lane of traffic open and use flagmen to direct traffic through the work zone, traffic congestion and delays are likely.

Motorists approaching the work area will encounter cones, barricades, flagmen and other traffic control devices.

Emergency vehicles will be able to pass through this section of South Burhans Boulevard while the work is being performed, but dispatchers should be aware of the likely traffic congestion and delays.
