UPDATE: Power poles repaired, S. Bryant Ave reopen in Moore

The City of Moore has reopened S. Bryant Ave after Tuesday’s closures to repair downed power poles in the area.

MOORE, Okla. (KFOR) — Crews in Moore are working to repair damage after severe storms on Monday night.

The City of Moore says S. Bryant Ave between SE 12th and 19th Streets near Heritage Trails Elementary School will be closed due to downed power poles.

Residents on SE 17th and 18th Street will be able to access their street through the barricades. Work is expected to continue throughout the day.

Swedish startup ZeroPoint, armed with €5 million ($5.5M USD) in new funding, wants to help them out with a novel memory compression technique at the nanosecond scale — and yes, it's exactly as complicated as it sounds. The concept is this: losslessly compress data just before it enters RAM, and decompress it afterwards, effectively widening the memory channel by 50% or more just by adding one small piece to the chip.
